My nephew, Maverick Bench, was recently diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia, which is a rare and serious autoimmune disease where his bone marrow is failing to produce new blood cells. He requires a stem cell transplant, none of his 4 siblings were a match. We got approved by BeTheMatch to host live swab events to test for matches. We need the Flathead Valley to show up and possibly be the cure for Maverick. The events will be held at 1896 Airport Road Wed 17th and Thurs 18th 4:30 - 7PM and Sat 20th 10AM - 12:30PM. Ages 18-44 can be swabbed. Simply swab each side of mouth and we send it off for testing. The Kalispell City Health Department has approved these events and we will provide masks, gloves and wipes for anyone to use. If some are unable to attend the live events they can sign up to have a test kit mailed directly to them in the name of Team Maverick.
